what do you guys think is the best way to catch catfish during spawning season for bass?

I catch catfish all year long (except for winter of course) in my small 1/2 acre pond stocked with Bass and Bluegill as well. Depending on the size, type of the catfish you are trying to catch: small bullheads and channels respond well to a large hook with 3 or 4 night crawlers on it, I have also had success with liquid stink baits applied inside a tear drop stink bait lure. either way your going to have to wait a while. Medium size cats also respond to night crawlers but not usually stink baits. If you are fishing on a large lake i suggest using a spoon and jumping up and down or trolling past cat hideouts. Although I have not had success with large cats I do know that the baits listed above do not work, I would suggest live or cut bait fish. And although I've never tried it I've heard noodiling is a very effective way.
