Some buddies and I built a 10x12 5 or so years back. It broke down into 3 pieces. Was on studs. We used ply wood and all the heavy crap. Too much of a pain moving it on snowmobile trailers. Now it just sits at his grandparents farm probably being used as a coyote den, lol. We were dumb but it was fun for a year. Save up the money and use the right materials.

Thanks. It almost seems pretty expensive building one yourself. I was thinking about buying a slide in camper for a p/u. cutting holes in it and removing some of the inside things for more room, but heres the thing by doing this i can have a fridge and stove and even a bunk bed. i can buy one right now for $200 thats in good shape. It seems this would last longer, take less work, and cheaper. Right now in MT plywood 3/4" 4x8 is $42 a sheet. It just seems like a camper is going to be my best option.
Have any of you ever used a slide in camper for ice fishing? any problems? or ideas?
      thanks

Buying a trailer that lowers to the ground is expensive. I have been thinking about doing the same thing and probably will in the near future. Buy an old camper and convert it. Throw in some sleeves around the holes and than it doesn't matter if it lowers to ground. Like you said there would be a bed shelves table everything there that you need for just a few hundred bucks. Craigslist has lots of them for sale from time to time. Maybe in 5-10 years I'll buy a fancy crank down one but I like the camper idea as well for now. Just try not to think about what the walls would tell you if they could talk about previous rondeavous in that old 70's camper lol.
