I guess by the name you are fishing for bass, but as Gerry said we don't know for sure. For Bass. The old Standby for me has always been a Black Plastic worm. Usually works in any color water. I would also try a chartreuse spinnerbait with single Colorado blade this time of year. Cast along the bank or to the bank if in a boat that will work Late in the evening or during the day even when its hot. Also in the morning and evening try a buzzbait along the bank. Good luck Bassman915.

Hot weather bass fishing is really what I like to do the most--though the definition of 'hot weather' is a bit different in southwest Texas I'm sure. I'm pretty much with Fritz the Cat here. My suggestion would be to fish late afternoons and into the dark of the night. Waiting for an approaching front isn't a bad tactic either. Anyway, try working cover and shorelines with weedless topwaters. Since fish might be a bit lethargic, work the lures slowly. Lure color is relatively important, too. I prefer black. Let us know how you make out.
