Do lake trout secrete pheromones like salmon do? I read that after catching a salmon you should change out you leader and hookups because of the pheromones that the salmon have secreted will coat the leader and other salmon will not touch it. Will lake trout do the same thing?

I don't know about lake trout, but steelhead have never seemed to mind biting the same lure I just caught their friend on!

I have never had a problem with having to change out anything for lake trout. I've caught up to 15 on the same set up.
