Maybe in the ocean, with the tides, but in fresh water I doubt it. I have been fishing 43 years now and have never noticed a difference. Sometimes the fish bite good on a full moon, sometimes not. I think they just feed when hungry. Be out on the water all you can, that is the best plan to catch fish.

You get lucky when you get lucky, and fish have to eat whether the moon is out or not. However, prey fish want to move during dark water times to avoid predators. Predator fish move during these times in response. The moon is a major factor in the darkness of the water, so I say yes, it does.

The moon controls the tides through lunar gravity. Lunar gravity has some effect on all water on the earth be it in oceans, lakes, rivers, or in a bathtub. Fish live, swim, eat, and procreate in water so there has to be some correlation between the moon and the fish. It is well proven that fish do feed on the tides. I have fished most of my life and I can catch fish almost any day, but the cycles of the moon will make a big difference in when and where I fish and what I fish for.
