    I'm going to fish for carp. I once heard of making dough balls from corn flakes and strawberry soda. Has anyone heard of this? How do you fish with a dough ball?

    i've used it and it works. don't get it too dry and put it on a treble hook. one thing i do is when i have my line out on the bottom, i put a little piece in the water next to me where i can see it. when that piece has dissolved or fallen apart, i can be pretty sure the ball on the hook has as well, and it is time to rebait.

      Miniature marshmallows, gummy bears, gum drops, etc. can sometimes work well too.

        Thank you very much for the info. Do you think a net bag would help hold the bait together? I'll be using heavy line and casting a long way from shore and am worried about slinging the bait off.
