Good heavy action rod, 20-60 lb test line, Cut bait, live minnows or perch, worms, hot dogs. Buy a couple bags of 3 way swivels, use 15-20 lb test line for teh weight tied wiht a 1-3 foot leader then to the swivel, tie another 1-3 foot leader to the swivel and a good circle or J hook then tie to your main line. Throw to edies, around log jams or where moving water meets slack water.

Chicken livers, raw dough balls, and dry dog food works good for me.
