I catch small perch with small hook and worms, then put live on a bottom rigs, limb lines or trout lines. Live or dead minnows work, cut bait, hot dogs, worms. Take as many types of baits wiht you when fishing.

I use chicken livers on a large hook when fishing for catfish. I've never had any trouble with those.

i use that all the time, might catch a few off of it. but i want something good, something that will make the fish go crazy.

This is gonna sound crazy but it does work. Chicken breast soaked in cherry kool-aid. Don't pre mix the koolaid, just pour the powder in with the chicken and mix then let it soak over night. I cut it in bait size pieces first. (Talcum worms) are awesome (not sure on the spelling) they can be found on (bean trees) in the late spring. I think they are more of a caterpillar than a worm. That's just what they are called around where I live. Good Luck
