Spring and summer top water frog baits get hit up like crazy. Don't be afraid to fish em at night during the summer months when the weather gets hot. Sometimes the big bad fish hang out in cool parts of the water until the sun goes down.

Where I live, the winter months are tough when fishing with frogs, but I have a lot of luck in spring & summer at the local ponds.

I use 1 inch frog crankbaits in the summer and they just tear em up.

I have had alot of luck with the on medium sized farm ponds and usualy in the spring. I like to use them in ponds where i know there are frogs. The same way fly fisherman match the hatch only with frogs.
