I've got a couple of questions. Does anybody know of any good fishing guide books that explain tips and tricks? And can anyone give me the rundown on how to work a texas-rigged worm? I have a general idea but would like to know more.

I have always let the worm hit bottom and rest for about 5 seconds and then lift the rod tip about 45 degrees quickly and then point the tip towards the water while taking up slack line and hang on for dear life because that's when they hit.
If they don't hit then, wait 10 seconds and do it all over again, but you know, I seen people just drag the worm over the bottom only lifting it about 3 inches every now and then and still catch big fish on hot days in the summer.
    Hope this helps.
