I have a few jigs in my tackle box that people gave me for Christmas. The problem is, I have no idea where to use them and how.

Now is the time to stop talking and start fishing that jig and pig find some timber and fish it tight you are notgoing to get those hard attacks, you may have to watch your line fot that little tick which will be a fish picking up the jig.Fish it slow and keep the line in your hand as much as possible to optimize feeland ultimatly your catch.

Heavy jigs(big)- Use a pig/jig combo and bottom fish it.
Smaller jigs- Use a "float" and fish it from 12 to 36 ins. below the "float".
Good Luck and Good Fishing !

Bass can be caught at any time of the year with a slow fished jig in their face.Bass jig are usually weed resistant and can be fished in the thick cover. You can add a trailer to change the look if you want. It's hard for a bass or any fish to resist a meal within inches in front of his face instead of having to chase it down in cold water.

Walleye love jigs. Put a minnow on them and jig them around a foot off the bottom of the lake. Alter your depth if they aren't biting.
